What is tarbiyah, and what do girls learn?

Tarbiyah means nurturing a child's character and faith together. In these classes girls learn the practical parts of daily Islamic life in simple language:

  • masnoon duas for the day, such as eating, sleeping and leaving home
  • how wudu is done, step by step
  • the basics of salah, with the short surahs and words used in it
  • good manners at home, with family and with the Quran
  • stories of the Prophets, told so children remember them

How are the lessons taught?

Ustadha Ayesha Azmat teaches live and one-to-one on Zoom, in 30-minute classes, with a digital pen and on-screen slides. She uses positive reinforcement and reward stickers. Daily duas, manners and stories of the Prophets are part of her classes already, so this course gives them more time.

She holds the Alimah Fazilah qualification (the eight-year Dars-e-Nizami course of Wifaq-ul-Madaris), and speaks English, Urdu and Arabic. Ask for the details on WhatsApp at +92 305 9637306.

Who is it for?

It suits girls who are learning to read the Quran and whose parents want the daily practices explained properly, as well as families outside the Arab world where Arabic is not spoken at home. Classes can run alongside Noorani Qaida or Tajweed lessons. See Tajweed for daughters.

The teaching stays at the level of basics and practice. It does not replace the guidance of your family's own trusted scholar for personal religious questions, and it does not issue rulings.

Character grows slowly. Progress depends on your daughter's age, on whether the duas and habits are practised at home, and on regular attendance. We do not promise outcomes. After the trial class the teacher will describe a realistic pace, and you agree it together.

We suggest a parent stays close for young children, and parents are welcome to sit nearby.

How do we start, and what does it cost?

The free 3-day trial is arranged through the form or on WhatsApp, subject to teacher availability. Classes are booked around your time zone (USA, UK, Canada and Australia), and weekend slots can be asked about.

Private 30-minute plans are $45 a month for two days a week, $65 for three days and $99 for five days. See tuition and pricing or request a free trial. Mothers who join with their daughter can ask about mother and child bundles.

Questions about best female quran in United States

What age is this suitable for?

It is aimed at girls who can follow a short lesson and want to learn the daily practices, from young children to older girls. The teacher adjusts the language and the depth to your daughter. Mention her age and what she already knows when you request the trial, and the teacher will tell you what to expect before the first class.

Is this a separate class from Quran reading?

It can be. Many families combine it with Noorani Qaida or Tajweed, since duas, manners and stories already form part of the classes. If you want more time for them, tell us on the form or WhatsApp, and the teacher will suggest how to plan it.

Will the teacher answer religious questions?

She teaches the basics clearly and gently. For personal or complex questions, she will encourage you to ask your own trusted scholar. These classes do not issue rulings, and they do not criticise any school, mosque or family practice. Your own family and scholar remain the guide for those matters.

Do you teach salah to young children?

Yes, in simple steps. The teacher explains the words, the short surahs and the order, at a level that matches your daughter's age. Practice at home with parents matters most, so she will tell you what to repeat between classes and how to help.

Which plan should we choose?

Most families begin with the two-day plan and review after the trial. The teacher will suggest what suits your daughter. The three-day and five-day plans are available if you want more time. See the tuition page for the plan details, and ask on WhatsApp if you are unsure.
