What is a mother and child bundle?

A mother and child bundle is a family rate for a mother and her child who enrol together. A 20 percent discount applies when both enrol. Your child learns with a female teacher, and you learn too, at a pace that suits an adult.

Why do mothers and children learn together?

Many mothers want to improve their own reading and Tajweed but feel shy in front of others, or simply cannot find the time. Learning at the same time as your child solves both problems. It also means practice at home becomes something you share.

Daughters often enjoy it most, and the request form also allows for a son under 10.

What are the monthly plans?

All plans are private 30-minute classes, priced per month before any family discount:

  • 2 days a week: $45 per month. Two classes a week, a calm start for beginners.
  • 3 days a week: $65 per month. Three classes a week, with Tajweed and daily duas.
  • 5 days a week: $99 per month. Five classes a week, for steady memorisation and Tajweed practice.

Every class is live on Zoom with a digital pen and on-screen slides. Whether a mother and child share a class or have separate classes is something the academy arranges with you after hearing about your child's age and level. Please tell us on the form or on WhatsApp which you would prefer.

Children are taught kindly, with positive reinforcement and reward stickers, and a parent is welcome to sit nearby. Mothers can begin at any level, even from the letters. See classes for adult sisters for how adult lessons run.

What should you expect?

Progress varies. It depends on each learner's age, practice at home and how regularly you attend, and a mother and child will rarely move at the same speed. That is normal. After the trial class the teacher will describe a realistic pace for each of you.

Classes are booked around your time zone in the USA, UK, Canada or Australia, and you can ask about weekend slots. When you are ready, request the free trial and choose the option for yourself and your child.

How much is the mother and child discount?

A 20 percent discount applies to monthly tuition when a mother and child enrol together. We do not publish a separate bundle price. Message the academy on WhatsApp or send the form, and you will be told how the discount applies to the plan you want before you commit.

Can we both try a free class first?

Yes, please ask. On the form choose "Myself and my child", or tell us on WhatsApp that you would both like a trial. The trial class is free and is arranged subject to teacher availability. The academy will explain how the trial works for two learners.

Does the bundle work for sons as well?

The request form includes an option for a son under 10 and an option for yourself and your child. Please give your child's age and what he has learned so far when you write, so the academy can confirm the arrangement, explain how classes would run and suggest a sensible place to begin.

What if I am a complete beginner?

That is fine. Many adult sisters begin with the letters and sounds, just as children do, and the teacher moves at your pace in a private class. Tell us what you have learned so far, even if the answer is nothing, and we will suggest a starting point.

Can we reschedule if we travel?

Yes. Classes can be rescheduled when your family travels, as long as you give notice. Tell the academy your travel dates on WhatsApp and we will agree new times with you. Classes are booked around your time zone, and you can ask about weekend slots.
